Itinerary 

 

Day 01 : - Athirapally Water Falls in rain forest

Our representative will receive you @ at Cochin airport / Chalakudi  Railway Station,  

( take to Hotel, refresh, get Ready for 40 Kms jungle safari drives through Sholayar rain forests. Athirapally - Malakkappara- Valparai route has amidst thick forests, across many waterfalls, valleys, and lofty peaks

Jungle Safari drive

Proceed to Malakkappara jungle safari drive, 40 km safari by car through the evergreen forest of Sholayar ranges of Western ghats. Many stopover points, viewpoints, etc

 

 

 

Anakkayam -  Elephant Lake

A beautiful lake where everyone wants to take photos with nature and keep as mementos of the dream holiday of their lifetime. Anakkayam means Elephant lake in Malayalam. it is a group of lakes formed naturally in the mildest of the evergreen forest. it is a refreshing and rejuvenating place of wild animals in Summer, Wils animals like Elephants, etc come line search of water to drink & bath. It is a beautiful scenery in the middle of the jungle. the cool climate and the majesty of the forest makes it an enormous attraction 

Malakkappara Tea Estate

Malakkappara is a border of Kerala with Tamilnadu.  Tamilnadu side is Valpparai. This entire area is of Tea Plantains. it is very beautiful. Tea factories are also here. Workers collecting new buds of tea plants is a common scene. Explore a short trekking through this tea plantation. Rreturn back to Athirapally in the evening has more chances to see wild animals, o/n at Hotel  

 

Wildlife watch  

There are frequent warning boards indicating ‘wildlife crossing zone – go carefully’. Always we can see Elephants in the road or on the other side of the river.  You can seee a lot of wild animals enroute

Day 02: - Athirapally & Vazhachal water falls

Visit  Vazhachal water falls, it is famous for its landscape . The distance between 2 falls are only 5 kms. Vazhachal is one of the main eco tourism areas of western ghats.  

Tourists can walk around 1 kms through the bunks of the River, Lifegurds are there to take care of the tourists and they are mainly from forest protection force of  tribal people  Shops of many tribal products and Honey etc are available there.

Thumboormuzhy Dam & River view garden with Children's park, View point, Natural bath, butterfly garden. The most beautiful garden  with a Children's park, Riverside garden with facility of natural river bath. It is an eco fragle area with a lot of activities. It has basically a check dam,> This part of the river is most suitable for bath . It has a beautiful mountain view of eye catching.   

Kerala's no-1 Butterfly garden is in Thumboormuzhy, it is a photo point for honeymooners, serials etc - Rest of the day is free

Butterfly Park 

Thumboormuzhy Butterflypark is growing to be one of the important eco-tourism attractions in Chalakudy- Athirapally Ecotourism. A visit to Athirapally will be completed only with a visit to Thumboormuzhy. It is astonishing that Thumboormuzhy attracts more tourists than Athirapally. Tourists across the globe are visiting thumboormuzhy. Thumboormuzhy is natural habitat of various species of butterfly’s .Of course, butterfly sighting is seasonal. The lifespan of some varieties of butterfly is only four days and in some other case it is up to 40 days More.

 

Hanging Bridge 

Hanging Bridge is across Chalakudy river connecting 2 sides in Thumboormuzhy. It offers a panoramic view of Thumboormuzhy, it is 

really an experience you have to enjoy. 

Natural River bath at Chalakudy river 

Chalakudy river has many spots fit for people to take bath, we call in malayalam Puzha kadavu. It is safe ti take bath here
